The disguised man who introduced himself as James Oliver, claims to be from another galaxy and is supposedly stuck on Earth in the year 2018. According to the alleged time traveller, the effects of global warming are pushing the planet to the brink of collapse. Climate change, he claimed, will lead to a number of “fairly large problems” and “environmental issues” in the future.

Speaking from an undisclosed location to paranormal investigators from YouTube channel Panorama Elite, James blamed natural processes and human activity for fuelling the problem.

He said: “I’m not particularly well-learned in this area but knowing the outcome I will say that it seems to me it is a combination of both.

“So to a degree there is a part of it that you cannot control.

“Time is a river, you know, you cannot change the direction of a river by throwing pebbles into it but you can get closer, right?

“I would say that being wary of environmental concerns is a big deal of what’s going on in the immediate future.”

The supposed time traveller also criticised the modern state of politics, claiming partisan politics are stopping real solutions from coming to the fore.

James urged nations to come together to tackle the challenge of global warming.

He said: “Politics, good Lord, it’s like the politics of the world has taken a nosedive off of the idiot tree and smacked every branch on the way down.

“It’s not like you have people in politics who aren’t intelligent, because you do, they just don’t know how to work together.

“You have such a divide between nations and it's just not beneficial to the total outcome of humanity.

“Cooperation and conscience are two key factors in determining the future for yourself.”

James previously appeared on YouTube channel Apex TV where he tried to convince the world he is a genuine time traveller.

There is however little scientific evidence to support claims humans have the ability to move back and forth in time.

According to William Hiscock, a professor of physics at Montana State University told Scientific American, the technology is not quite here yet.

The time travel expert said: “Time travel into the past, which is what people usually mean by time travel, is a much more uncertain proposition.

“There are many solutions to Einstein’s equation of General Relativity that allow a person to follow a timeline that would result in her or him encountering himself – or her grandmother – at an earlier time.

“The problem is deciding whether these solutions represent situations that could occur in the real universe, or whether they are mathematical oddities incompatible with known physics.”
